Metro is not a history of rice culture in ancient Kerala.
It is a modern industrial revolution, spearheaded by one man who probably did more than anyone to advance the growing, procuring and milling of rice in Kerala. It is how a small business family from the backyard in Kalady transformed into Metro Group of Companies under the determination and vision of its founder, Mr. A.M. Makkar Pillai. As a part of Business development, Metro under the able guidance of Mr. A.M. Makkar Pillai added on more Rice Mills and established itself as the leader in the industry.
