The ecological damages caused due to excessive river sand mining has forced a ban by the courts. River sand has thus become scarce and highly expensive. The need to find an alternative to river sand in construction works drove engineers to come up with an alternative called M-Sand (manufactured sand). This alternate option to river sand is manufactured through processing the metal stone aggregates. Fine and uniform granulation of metal stone aggregates are processed through vertical shaft impactor technology by floating it through pressurized water shower leading to reduction of impurities and creating M-Sand in Z II category cubed in 4.75mm. Today Metro manufactures superior grade M-Sand that can be used in all aspects of construction industry.
